Now down to55 days, in many ways the time is dragging; in other ways there are so many things to do we are struggling to keep up. As I keep rubbing in to colleagues at work, "Only xxx days to go - not that I'm counting! To all you folks at work. I hope I'm not p$^%&#g you off too much'!
Our flights are all booked and all relevant documents ready. In terms of this we are way ahead of ourselves! We're still trying to get the hang of this blogging lark and that'll keep me occupied for a while at least.
Trying to pack for a 6 month trip spanning the Middle East, Europe in Autumn, England and America in Winter and then the tropics before returning to Australia in late Summer is a nightmare. Add to that the need to pack both formal and casual wear and it does cause one heck of a headache. Managed to ship one case of Winter and formal wear to England so that lightens the load a little bit. Now we only have 3 cases to carry on the trains around Europe. Should be fun. And no, we're NOT looking for sympathy, lol.
Work-wise I'm already in 'downward' mode and just can't keep in gear at work. I guess I need a month off work just to wind down before we leave. I'm sure the boss won't mind; I'm not much use at work now anyway. Besides, Julie has already quit work so it's only fair that I do too!
OK, I'll cut the drivel and sign off for now. Be back again in a week or so.
