MOTORHOME TO TIMBER CREEK

Day 2 and after a good nights’ sleep we head off ‘towards Broome’, one of our intermediate destinations.

We are heading for Kununurra as a ‘point on the way’ but doubt we will make it in a day. No rush; we’ll get there. Eventually!

We may even get back to Perth in time to return to work as planned but who knows? Who cares?

Our journey took us to the Victoria Highway and along the Savannah Way towards a place called Victoria River.

The drive itself is worth the trip and there are photo opportunities everywhere you look.

Even the termite hills are a sight to behold and they are everywhere.

This seemed like a good place to stop for fuel and a bit of lunch.

I liked the sentiment!

They sure make the road-trains big around here. I’m just glad I didn’t have to overtake this bitch!

After a light lunch in the van we took a stroll to Victoria River.

For some reason Julie decided that she didn’t want to go for a swim today!

Personally I can’t see why since she is usually always ready for a quick swim. Maybe she had enough of the water after 5 weeks on the Queen Victoria! Who knows?

We then continued on our way until early evening when we booked into our campsite for the night at Timber Creek.

Typically of Julie; she decided she DID want to have a swim here. Heaven only knows; I’ll never understand women!
